NEAP
Natural Environmental Appreciation Programme
This programme runs from Play Group all the way through to Year 11, and has been designed to ensure all students graduating from Kivukoni have a strong understanding of their local ecosystems, a deep appreciation for the natural world, and feel empowered to make a positive difference in the world.
The full programme features 180 lessons spread across 14 years; each year group has five NEAP lessons per term, along with local and further afield trips across the year. All are carefully designed to take the learner on a journey of awe, wonder, deep curiosity and personal growth in relation to the natural world. Each session engages the head, heart and hands, and we consciously strive to understand and engage with each individual, drawing out their unique interests, skills and talent.

NEAP is a home-grown programme made by our Environmental Educationalist Elsa Kent, designed specifically for our coastal Kenyan context. As such we actively encourage others from this region to reach out to gain full access to the content, as it is a transformative programme and highly effective tool for holistic environmental education.
We are offering access free of charge to all Kenyan Government-Funded Schools.

Nature Club
Every week we have both a junior and senior nature club. This gives students the opportunity to do a range of activities designed to foster deep nature connection, hone their outdoor skills and most importantly, the chance to have fun in the natural world!
