Beach Cleans
We host regular gatherings to help clean our local beaches. We collect the plastic and other trash, and take it to Eco World in Watamu, where it can be transformed into something useful.
Mangrove Planting
Together with the Little Environmental Action Foundation, we support local mangrove planting events. This is a fantastic way to care for our local ecosystems and community, as these events provide employment and great opportunities for local people to get involved.

Ocean Challenge - Supporting TMEC
Each year, we host a 2km swim up Takaungu creek, raising funds and awareness for the Tkauangu Marine Environment Conservation Group. This event funds the salaries of two local TMEC officers to protect this treasured ecosystem all year long.
From the outset, the team wanted the film to make a real difference for elephants in Kenya - to help conserve elephants and support and foster environmental education. Through their commitment and determination, that hope became reality when, with the support of Bestseller Foundation, they were given the opportunity to design and develop a dedicated Elephant Queen Outreach and Education Project (O&E) which aimed to use the film to inspire an appreciation for wildlife, conservation and the environment.

The LEAF undertakes restoration of highly threatened habitats in biodiversity hotspots across the world. Our method focuses on the triple benefits of biodiversity, carbon capture and sustainable development that derive from ecosystem restoration. We plant 100% native tree species, prioritising species that are threatened with extinction. This approach supports tree diversity, the return of native fauna and the long-term sequestration of carbon, in addition to providing many resources and ecosystem services to local communities, helping them achieve sustainable development.
