The Kivukoni Eco Festival after movie is here!! Enveloped by the Takaungu creek on the coast of the Indian Ocean in Kilifi, Kenya; a festival to celebrate nature, community and active hope took place on the 30th of November 2024. With a vision to enliven the regenerative movement in Kilifi, we wanted to create a inclusive and safe space where the community can come together in all its richness and diversity, to share ideas, connect with each other and most of all celebrate nature and sustainable community living. We wanted the festival to be a place where we could collaboratively grapple with some of the most progressive and urgent questions of our time, while celebrating this vibrant global movement in all its colour. A short film made at Kivukoni School in May 2023 with the wonderful Eco Team! This film was a co-creation process with the students to explore their voices in relation to nature and their core message for the world. It was such a joy to make.
